Is the online ordering system really free?
The website is. Hosting, SSL, the storefront, your catalog on the web, pickup and local delivery, the on-page SEO engine and the product feed carry no monthly fee. Each online order is 99¢, capped automatically at $299 in a month. That is the whole price.
How does the $299 cap work? Do I have to choose a plan?
You make no choice. Esplanda bills the lower of 99¢ per order or $299, automatically, every month. At 302 orders the month comes to $298.98, and from 303 orders on you pay $299, however many orders arrive.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No. There is no percentage of order value anywhere in Esplanda's pricing. The 99¢ is a fee on an order, the same on a $20 order and a $400 order. Card processing is a separate cost paid to your processor.
Is there a setup fee or a contract?
No setup fee, no contract, no monthly minimum and no per-user fees. You can export all of your data at any time: products, customers, sales and orders.
Is there a minimum order volume?
There is one rule, and it only affects website accounts with no Esplanda register. An account that averages under ten online orders a month across a trailing 90 days moves to read-only: the site stays up and your data stays yours, but the order path closes. If you run the free Esplanda register, the rule does not apply to you at all. It is published here so it is never a surprise later.
Is it a free online ordering system for restaurants too?
Yes. Cafés, bakeries, delis and quick-service kitchens take pickup and delivery orders from the same menu as the counter, at 99¢ an order. A busy kitchen with hundreds of online orders a month pays the $299 cap and no more.
Does online ordering connect to my POS?
With Esplanda POS, which is free, the storefront and the counter share one catalog, one price and one stock level, so there is nothing to sync and nothing to reconcile overnight. A sold-out item comes down online on its own.
Can I keep my own website and still take orders?
Yes. The storefront can run on a subdomain or a path alongside the site you already have, and the catalog, the order path and the 99¢ fee work the same way.
Can I sell alcohol online with it?
Yes. Checkout is age-gated, with an acknowledgment at checkout and an ID check recorded against the order at pickup or delivery. Alcohol delivery rules are set by your state, your town and your license, and you set the zone, hours and categories to match.
